To change the pads on a Philips Onsite defibrillator, first make sure the device is turned off. Remove the old Philips Onsite Adult Pads cartridge by pressing the latch and lifting it out. Insert the new cartridge until it clicks into place. Follow the diagram on the cartridge to correctly place the pads on the patient—typically one pad on the upper right chest and the other on the lower left side. Always check that the pads are within their expiration date and replace them if they are expired, damaged, or after each use, as recommended in the user manual.
